Best Wearable Apps for 2013 Selected in Wearable App Awards
Along with the vast influx of wearable hardware that has come to the market this year, the app ecosystem for these devices has also grown. An app can completely change the way that you use a device and this is also true in the wearable space.
Wearable App Review, the first review site dedicated to apps for wearable tech, have reviewed over 150 apps since their launch in October and have released their first annual Wearable App Awards. 
This year’s winners include the GDK-translation app Word Lens for Google Glass which translates words before your very eyes as well popular digital recipe app, IFTTT, for Jawbone UP, which has endless possibilities. 
Value-added tools reigned supreme in this year’s best apps. Samsung Galaxy Gear’s app choice was Watch Styler, an app that lets you create your own watchfaces for the Gear and Sony Smartwatch winner was Watcher - Smartwatch Camera which lets you use your smartphone as a remote security camera.
Music Boss for Pebble, an Android app that lets you control any music program like Songza and Spotify, with your smartwatch and MapMyRun for Fitbit rounded out the six honored in this year’s top picks.
